oh I know, I’ve been living it, squirrels and shiny things everywhere ...

mine has been anything to avoid putting the dash in and worse yet painting

very cool ... not really happening, but cool, lol ...

im switching to a 6 gallon cell so it should save a few pounds over the stock tank, but in reality it’s not that much. Aluminum cell is lighter, but still heavy pump and such so that should get me close to back even ...the win in the cell is that I won’t just keep adding fuel and ending up with a full yank, lol ... the problem is, by the time I build the separation, it’s going to likely wash out ...

the downside is I need to add the battery disconnect stuff that isn’t a light weight proposition... I’m keeping my battery where it is and going to run the Moroso solenoid and just run trigger wires to the switch ... regardless that’s all added weight.

in the end, I will adjust boost to run the number, lol

Amazing enough, went through everything electrically and it all works, lol ...ca starts, got lights, boost control powers up, fan circuit, 2 step, line lock, all still works ... I’m calling it all a win ...

Lol, Can’t get cocky ... if, and a big if, I get what I have planned done then we would leave Match 3rd for the tow to Bradenton. That’s more like 2 1/2 months. This is why I skipped the last few weeks of the season o get a head start ... list is still long, and I work out of town 4 days a week, so time is short.

full cage needs painted, I hate painting worse than wiring.

I need to get the actual chassis cert done. I’m at others mercy for when that can get done.

I still need to get the dash back in the car, hoping to knock that out this weekend or at least put a dent in it. That doesn’t address the rest of the interior like carpet and all that ...

redo electrical system to add the required disconnect switch. Just got the parts for that today, but a lot to do there.

im changing from a stock tank to a fuel cell. Still haven’t even ordered those parts...after I get them I need to figure out a bulkhead and all that. Big cascade of redoing the fuel system...

on top of that clutch needs to come out and go for a refresh. I missed the early window on that, so they told me not to bother shipping it until after New Years, then again I’m at tgeir mercy for turn arpund ...

add in head needs to come off for refresh, and a host of little stuff...

long story short, I’m starting to get scared I won’t be ready for Bradenton unless I have a heck of week over Christmas with progress.

Shitty picture, but made a new panel for my boost controller and boost gauge. Ready to finish hacking up the dash pad then I can be finished with this whole dash deal.

    I mentioned this in Ed’s thread ...

I have always run a small AGM battery in my car under the hood. It’s relatively small and sort of light (14#). Despite NOT relocating the battery, a disconnect is STILL required below 9.99.

I am going to mount a switch in the rear as required, but picked up a Moroso remote disconnect solenoid. I will only need to run small gauge wire to the rear switch. Those will simply operate the coil of the big solenoid killing the battery and alternator.

solenoid is a little heavy, but still should come out ok versus all the cable needed to trunk mount the battery.

to be determined I guess. Car could be ready to go if I don’t let this snowball.

I finally finished the dash today. Everything works, lights up, and the car runs. Getting ready to start the rest of the interior, carpet, seats, seat belts, etc.

still need to do battery disconnect and fuel cell. All possible, but now I’ve been thinking about a few changes under the hood too.

I think I’m going to go, but likely as a spectator.
