Nah, gaps was fine, just 5 years of 35# of boost and mild abuse, lol
staying with CP Pistons but changing ring package to a steel top ring total seal set up.
What would cause the rings to crush like that ?
Just a little 500 whp V6
Ring grooves in pistons deformed and pinched the rings. Lots of mild abuse, lol
Mild abuse lmao!!! I'd say the shortblock held up well huh bob?
Zero complaints, new one is at the same shop getting the same thing with the addition of a filled block to add some stability, and we are changing the ring package to a full steel top ring.
Not much, looking for a few #’s, fresh short block, I guess the biggest change is small but in the bell housing.different brand clutch
Beside stuck rings, short block looked spectacular with no sign of abuse. That’s mild abuse
Machine shop sent me a message that my block is done
What shop do you use bob?
