I feel no fear whatsoever about gun regulations. We are a nation of laws. No one has ever made all of the laws to suit any one group. It has never happened in the history of the United States. And it never will happen so long as there is a United States. The political structure will not allow total tyranny of any one group on any single issue. Stop living in fear and join our society. We find political solutions or compromises to our problems. No one gets it all their way. That's the way we roll.

If these guns are gone...you really think you would be safe??? Let go of the stubborn attitude...this thread is a debate and being close minded doesn't help your cause...especially when the reality is that the few assault weapon killings were done by a mentally ill person...it's paranoia thinking this is will happen to you...you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than getting killed by an assault weapon...you have a much better chance of getting killed by the police than an assault weapon...you want proof??? Go park n sit in your car late at night int the middle of north side and I bet you the only gun you will see is the one a police officer sticks in your face...oh the police are trained so your safe...lol

Angel, the problem with the government is too big theory is the country is not a few million people anymore, its over 300 million and growing! Stop population growth and we can discuss shrinking the government. Until then government must grow simply to keep administering a safe society for the masses. The days of the big open west are long gone. We have to use the size and population density of our country as the calculus to determine the required size of government. That is what keeps the elite few, from ruling the masses. In reality as a patriot we should all love government. Because our government is staffed by and for the people. We are the friggin government. If you have a problem with things, get more involved. Run for office!

Wow...I do my part in talking and helping my fellow man...it amazes me people still think there is a middle class...government has created a situation of rich or poor...I make a good living but I'm not in denial that if I can't work I'm about a year away from homeless...the rich won't help me and the government does not help the poor...I will depend on my fellow poor and live my simple life...basically the way I live now...simple means the barter system and not depending on banks and government...the only thing I use the government for is registering my car...Im not scared that martial law is coming in my life but I HAVE 2 boys that I want to have the same oppurtunities I did...ever since 9/11 is when things changed...it's not population that gave the government more power...people's fear did...government created that fear...that's fact...

I do not in any way support any kind of government population control.

It was just to make a point. Actually to make your point!

The law was made very clear, those people chose not to abide by it. No ones busting down their doors taking their guns, but the law is made very clear.

We don't know the total number of drink drivers who successfully navigated the roads without killing anyone, so we can't determine the actual kill ratio for comparison. But that was a nice try.... lol

I want fewer laws, more choices, and more accountability for those choices.

I don't believe the 100 watt light bulb was a menace to society.

Many wood burning stoves are no longer available due to the EPA.

Some of our favorite cars have limited drivetrain choices due to nutty fuel economy requirements or draconian crash test requirements. BMW won't import any more 6-speed station wagons because it costs more to get all the government certifications than they'd make selling those cars.

The kid at Getgo won't let me put gasoline into a yellow can. Got to be a red can.

My winter wheels and tires on my '14 Fiesta ST don't have $150 worth of TPMS sensors so I have to ignore a yellow warning lamp until Spring.

    Why? Too many laws.

The government isn't concerned with rich or poor, just dependent and independent. The more we depend on them, the more they control us. 47% depend on them because they are too lazy to work. They're unproductive and unsatisfied but too regulated to start their own little business and claw their way out of poverty.

And let's not lose sight of the fact that poverty in the US beats living in 80% of the world.

The hand outs aren't free stuff. It's other people's stuff. I don't own any firearms, but I'm all for any other responsible person owning whatever they want. Someday, their firearms just might protect my independence.

Do you have a number on how many responsible firearm owners there are?

Or take it away from you. That cuts both ways. Personally I don't want anyone to have an AK47.

Also, how do you propose we determine who is responsible to own guns?

Dang, yep, we're gonna need a law for that.....

So the 10,322 Slaughtered are "Acceptable Losses" (according to you) how many helpless children were in the body count?
I'll bet it was more than Sandy Hook?
Just get those guns out of the hands of we the people..
