    Garage space

Guy....I'm just about done knocking a few of my projects out of the garage and will have some time/space to work on other stuff. Last fall I offered garage space to fellas needing to swap some parts on or didn't have a place or tools to do so.

I'm set up pretty well for garage space, two lifts, air tools, etc. If you need a place to do some work (a night or two...not looking for long term projects) then send me a PM or post. My father-in-law also paints for a living if anyone needs something along those lines.

My garage is about 25 minutes east of PRP, less than 1/4 mile off of Rt. 22, near Clyde, PA. I'm out there most days/evenings other than Friday night and Saturday.

The only thing I ask is that you kick something into the "kitty can" to cover supplies and electric. Also a test ride along if you have something faster than I do.....which doesn't take much!

Oh.....and it doesn't have to be a muscle car or fast. If you need to do some work on your DD then that's also cool.

I'd be interested if your father-in-law paints cars for a decent price.

He's painted and done body work for 40+ years. Some of the Altoona guys on here have seen the paint that's laid down on my Ranger......it's show quality! There's a local lawyer that sends all of his Porsche restorations and paint work over here to be done.

"Decent price" depends on what you intend to have done, who's buying the paint and a lot of other things.

I never had the intention of building the garage to make money...just to have a place to wrench on my own stuff and maybe do some side work. I'm finding out that the value of side jobs and helping others on theit stuff is learning how to do more of my own work.

In the last two weeks I've completely rebushed a Neon, lifted a Grand Cherokee 6", did a 'vert top on the wife's stang GT, oil pan gasket on the GT, and had a Focus in tonight for some suspension parts. So far I've not charged anyone (and I've not asked), but I've gotten stuff in trade...either extra hands on my jobs, extra hands when cutting firewood, a set of John Deere discs for behind my Kubota, Kerosene for the heaters, and some new tools just to name a few. That's as good as cash IMO.

......and.....it keeps me out of the fridge!!!

Definitely a cool offer. It's a haul for me but who knows if I'm out in the area I'll have to swing by.
