Its a stock block, steel crank, forged rods and KB pistons with a single moly ring. All machine work and assembly done by Canton automotvie machine service, A guy named Roger Decker. In fact the engine is so fresh, I have not picked it up yet, lol.
Speed Kills....Play it safe and buy a CHEVY!!
Well I got the motor installed and put all my top end on and relocated the battery to the trunk. While I was at it, I removed most of the wiring in the engine bay. It came time to fire it up and amazingly, it fired up and held an idle at 800rpm!! So I let it run to burn off all the paint and new stuff smell. I shut it off after 20 min and started checking everything out, and found about a cup of oil on the floor comming from the front of the bell housing. It was then that I realized that I forgot to put the rear main seal in. So off to Tims it went(towed) . Tim fixed the oil leak and spent hours trying to figure out a rocker tap. Ended up putting Scorpion rollers on and it seems to be better. The car runs better than it did before, much more power. I did put it on a diet, ac system, changed to billet accessory brackets and a bunch of other little stuff. Big thanks to Tim for all his help and a big thanks to Wick for rebuilding the tranny, I forgot what it was like to have 4th gear!!!!
