Dan and Mike want to extend profuse apologies to everyone. Due to circumstances beyond their control the track rental on October 6th has been cancelled and changed to Saturday October 14th, 6-10pm. The track rental will be AFTER the PRP scheduled Test'n Tune. The raindate is Saturday October 21st 6-10pm. [PRP screwed up the scheduling and informed us this late. :( ]

This is good news for some and bad news for others.

If you CAN NOT make it on Saturday October 14th and you want a refund, PLEASE CONTACT DAN MOORE or mikeymustang.

If you CAN make it for Saturday October 14th, you can still preregister by sending your check or money order to Dan Moore or via PayPal to allbrightstripes@verizon.net.

Click for updated RaceFlyer.pdf (http://www.mikeymustang.com/images/RaceFlyer1014.pdf) <<--- Link now works!

Spectator/Pit Crew/Non-racer fee is $10/person. You may pay at the gate.

They hope most of you can still make it. On the upside, since the rental follows a Test'n Tune there should be decent track prep and depending upon the number of slick cars there should be a decent amount of rubber on the track.

Thanks Lou. I need to reiterate that Dan and Mike are very disappointed about the change in date. And me too. It promised to be a very nice night for racing.

Also, I'm having issues with our host/server. The updated flyer doesn't seem to be loading. :(

Refer to the intial post:
http://www.steelcitystangs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269

Basically pricing is the same $75 with a possible $25, or portion refund if no oil downs occur. The flyer just puts everything together in a tidy little package. All I did for the update was change the dates.

Meanwhile server issues continue. :grumpy:

You can say that again. :irked: Sometimes I wonder how professionals can be so unprofessional. Then again, I look at the people I deal with on a daily basis and...duh... :duh:

A shame there isn't another dragstrip closer to this area. There is a lot to be said about competition breeding better business practices.

FLD's are a waste of time. You only get an eight of a mile and the prep sucks. Just a waste, and its just as far as PRP is. My buddy jacks off to the FLD's, dont know why. His car is slow as hell and its funny. That might be why he does not come to the track. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I already replied but it apparantly got deleted since Eddie and I can't keep the trash talk away from "important" threads.

Nope! He's going to the FLD's where traction is superior instead! Guess I'll have to race Bonecrusher!

Nope! He's going to the FLD's where traction is superior instead!Stop the hating. I am cashing in my free entrance fee ticket since it's the last one this year. Send me a PM if you want to know my reason for not going to the rental. No need to mess up this thread more. :goodidea:

We continue to have server issues at mikeymustang.com. :scratchchin:
Perhaps the .jpg images of the 2-pg flyer might work.

As an aside, I'm the guilty one for having the "i1arunit" and "u1arunit" posts moved to a new thread. You guys are having fun jackin' each other, I find it entertaining too, but wished to have this thread for any updates and/or changes to the track rental. Thought if you 2 had your own thread the saga could continue uninterrupted. Blame me. I'm a chick and I drive a slow car. :cutie:

Maybe ill get into some of that action as well ED. See how the old pushrod powerplant does against some modded DOHCs.

Just want everyone to know that the track rental is on for this Saturday October 14th. Going to be a chilly evening and breezy so don't forget to dress warmly.

RACERS: YOU WILL NEED A WRIST BAND TO RACE - which tells us you have been paid. No wrist band, no racing. If you do not have your wrist band (you should have received yours in the mail from Dan Moore), contact MikeyMustang IMMEDIATELY upon getting to PRP. We are hoping to gather all track rental racers in a to-be-determined area for a brief meeting and wait for the track to clear.

SPECTATORS: Are still welcome and the cost is $10/per person (spectators includes pit crew) and can be paid at the gate.

Should there be a last minute change or cancellation (we hope not!), you will be notified by the telephone number you gave to Dan/Mike, and I will post the change here on steelcitystangs.com.

We hope to see you Saturday evening!
