Was wondering who you guys recommend for auto trans work? My c-4 gave up at the end of the season and is in need of some attention and I don't really know we're is good with a trans like this. Ptc c-4 with a brake and all the good stuff. Any opinions appreciated.

Very bad experience with World Class transmission on rt 66 in Delmont this past summer with my c4. Have heard nothing but good things about Wholesale Transmission in New Kensington. I believe he's a racer or past racer from PRP and has worked on a couple from out there - all brands and he knows c4's pretty well.

All-Star Transmission in California. Ask for Dave Dahl, I think he is one of the best around and really takes his time to do things the right way.

X2 on Wholesale Transmission in New Ken. Mike does really good work. He's worked on Balaska's C4, and the Matis family's C4s (they run Fox body T Birds in the 11s and 12s in Modified and Street bracket classes at PRP)
Trav, that's Gregg Dahl's (GMS machine shop) brother, isn't it? I would trust him too.

Yep... Greg's brother. He built the 406 SBC for my 55 Chevy two years ago and far exceeded my expectations. He is one of the most meticulous guys I have ever been around and really believes in doing it right the first time around, plus he really knows his shit. If/when I have another engine or tranny built, he is my first call.

I am a big fan of Gregg, for all those reasons you mentioned, great to work with. The first time I worked with him, the piston to wall was too tight, we talked about it, why he did it that way, why I wanted a little more, and he took care of it. I am sure Dave is equally as sharp.

Ok I didn't know they would do that. I actually talked to Carl rossler earlier in the week about possibly doing a t400 swap threw them but I think I'm gunna give the c-4 one more try. I'll get back in touch with him Monday and see about them doing my c-4.

Well the car is heavy I never scaled mine but it's a 94 mustang vert all factory equipment and from what I read there pretty heavy. It makes 590 @ the tire on low boost. Do u guys think the c-4 will make a full season if I have it gone threw and don't turn the wick up anymore. I'd like to use it one more season then I could finish the few other odds and ends I have left and do a glide or t400 swap next winter.

I already have a glide sitting in the corner but it's just an oem unit I dono if it's worth having it looked at to see if it's worth taking a shot at or not.

Yea spent 10 or 15 mins on the phone with him talking about the car and trans and he seems very knowledgeable and is confident they can fix it up.
