I've been wanting to get some new tires for this truck ever since I got it. Finally pulled the trigger on some 35x16x16.5 Boggers. They'll probably never see much mud, but they look cool:2thumbs:

My wife does call it the dude magnet, lol

They're actually not as loud as I thought they'd be. The truck was already pretty loud on the highway for various other reasons that they didn't make it any louder.

I wanted to make sure I got at least one pic in direct sunlight because it does make a big difference. I took a couple pics when I got home from getting them mounted and I was a little disappointed. There wasn't any sun, the truck was dirty and the wheels hadn't been polished in a while. Now that I got it all cleaned up I'm feeling a little better about spending the cash on the tires.

Haha, well none with these tires yet, but here are some with the BFG's...

I think it squatted less than an inch with an 8' bed full of wood... yeah the rear springs are a little stiff, lol

The woods beater Ranger sees most of the wood hauling duties now though. Hard to justify using the blue truck when I can bounce a piece of wood off the side of the Ranger and not care too much.

I go camping a couple times a year with some buddies down near Elkins, WV. I'm always tempted to load up big blue with some wood and drive it down there, but I'm a little leery of driving a 42 year old truck 6 hours round trip. I think I'm gonna man up and finally do it when we go next spring though.

This hurts deep down in my soul........kinda like when that Sarah Mclachlan commercial comes on about abused animals.

If the truck has been pretty reliable since you brought it home, I think it will be just fine on that trip.

I flew into St. Louis and drove my white one home 600 miles.

:rotflol::rollingfloorrlol: I like Rangers too Dan. This is my third one. Had a nice two tone brown 2wd 87 with the 2.3 and a 5 spd as my first vehicle, lol. I like mine in the 4wd variety though. Someday I will build a 4wd with a strong V8 and a manual... someday. Gonna beat the hell out of this one till it dies though. I put a limited slip in the rear and had to replace the transfer case with one I got off CL for $45, but after that it goes anywhere I point it. Been thinking about a cheap drop in locker for the front just for good measure

It's been fairly reliable. I had to make a new alternator bracket for it, but other than that it hasn't caused me any trouble. I drove it a little over 200 miles home from Virginia when I bought it. I'm 95% sure it would be ok, but that last 5% worries me, haha
