Can we get some meets set-up for Pittsburgh this year? (2014)

Well guys the weather is finally starting to break lately (even though it's going to snow tmrw) and this winter has been a piece of shit. I was just trying to gauge some interest in setting up some monthly meets in/around the Pittsburgh region.

Let me know some good areas, I really don't know the area all too well but i'm more than down to drive and meet up with you guys and grab a few brews n shit. I tried looking for existing ones through the Meets/Events tab but nothing relatively close to date popped up. Thanks in advance!!

I run/admin the secret Allsquad facebook group that have meets all over pretty often-Sonic by the Pitt Mills Mall, and under the Tarentum bridge meets. We started towards the end of last year. We have been talking with Vito of Carcruises.com, Michael of the Flashlight Drags, and the 412 Tuner guyz on maybe setting some meets/cruises up and getting the word more out and about of them!

I'm the same way. Every time I got I get there walk around, check out the other cars and I'm done. I'm not 60 years old sitting in a car by the car for 6 hours. It's like the QS one in Robinson. I like riding out there just to get some food.

Awesome man! I work at Pittsburgh Intl Raceway in Wampum so maybe I can talk to the director of op's, Dave, and see if we can hold something at the track this year. We're always looking for more business and to get the name out!

Well, Shell purchased the Horsehead factory and all of its property, and i wouldnt be surprised if it included the bar's property. But, Horsehead was suppsed to be out by March of last year and they're still dragging their feet - last i heard, Shell hired someone to help them get out by the end of this year... so maybe there will be one more year?

i assure you, its possible..... my car sits absurdly low on coilovers, and i really don't have any issues.... no i can't just go wherever i want, but potholes have never been a problem

I have the Pfadt adjustable coilovers... and i'm not kidding you when i say that the front bumper has 2" of clearance... the ride is certainly quite stiff, but I quite like it... its an acceptable trade off when you consider that my car has pulled 1.2g on the offramp from 376N heading to Midland, on a wet weather tire to boot... i have no idea what its fully capable of

I spend enough time in my pickup truck, which sloshes around from side to side, to really appreciate the firm ride

Hi Barry - Last year was the first time the Cars and Coffee group came to the PVGP. We put them up on the hill behind the American cars because that's the only room we had for them on the golf course. Also - that put them next to the "Cortile" area ( cor-tee'-lay ) which is the high-end Italian cars, so they blended in well there. The C&C leader came to our last PVGP meeting and seemed like a good guy. He said they welcome and cars to their weekly(?) get-togethers, but most of the folks who attend do have the higher-end cars.

QS cruise was always on Sundays. Fridays alot of people go to mineral beach, Sunday caste village.

QS cruise got boring fast. I didn't go at all last year. The first night is always the best. Packed, music, food after that its boring.

Just so everyone knows - Don't drive too much this month if you have tinted windows. The state issued a mandate for tint through May 3rd. I was pulled over 3 times within 2 hours 2 days ago for mine, and they are only 30%.

On another note, my car is legal now so i'm down for whatever, whenever

They changed the laws on the tint too. No more shining a light through to see if it's ok.......Now it's no tint allowed that is not factory....period. Ask me how I know.

That case really muffles the sound. Both the skeleton backdoor and the waterproof, esepcially the waterproof. I siliconed a very thin circular piece of metal on the back battery cover and then I have a magnetic Phone/Ipod holder that uses a gel-suction mount and I put that anywhere on the car and then slap the GoPro on that. I usually use the holder for my phone and place it right above the middle dash.

I'm going to go by best buy today and see what they have to offer. The GoPro brand suction mount says that they guarantee that it will hold up at high speeds.

I got a chance to swing out tonight, nothing but trucks. Me and my friend went, he has a nice Evo.

I had an exhaust leak, pre-02 and never thought it could make my car run like such horse shit. So I go under her, replaced the driveshaft with the FRPP one, changed the trans fluid with Syncromesh (which works like ****ing MAGIC), and fixed my exhaust flange and it runs like a new car now. I guess the pre-o2 leak was really destroying my fuel trims, I was running really damn rich. Now I just need my tires mounted and i'm ready to rock n roll
