I've never had any trouble with traction on opening day? But then again I have never had trouble with traction at PRP ever...so maybe I am not a good benchmark.

I just know from my experience that last year opening day was the only day that was marginal. And it was only the first past. My car like rubber on the track. Your car would hook on water lol.

We were in our grass pits, new to us in '11. You jacked the car up wrong, or something like that, and bent the rod ends. Check your receipts. Pretty sure it was at PRP, and not MD.

Im not sure now, but I still say the traction is gonna be at its worst on opening day due to the green track with no rubber down but the hook is still descent. Someone like Ed may have trouble.

Helmet is required if you're 13.99 or quicker in the 1/4. Just my 2 cents, I think it's worth wearing one 15s and quicker. That's still 80mph+ should something bad happen.

At the racers meeting Sunday they said they are planning on doing something with the dirt/gravel road at the entrance but they will definitely be opening the old/front gate on Thursdays only for steet cars/motorcycles only driven in to avoid the stones.

i was wondering did they add any more pit space or even pave more road i hate parking in the grass on big race events. for example last year at nitro jam i had to park in the grass then i go get in line to make my pass and have to clean the underneath of my car in the staging lanes

Welp my first 1/4mile pass EVER in my uncle's bone stock Challenger I broke into the PRP 100mph club with a 14.0 pass and then follow'd that up breakin into the 13s with a 13.94 at a 100mph! Ohh yeeahh!!!!

I had a real hard time trying to find the happy medium of keeping the car in the higher revs when launching to keep the cam happy which broke traction and wheelhopped, and launching to low of rpm to not spin and lugging the car terribly until the revs came up. Stock pirelli's didn't help at all. ran 12.9@ 114 and 12.7@ 114 both with 2.2 60's. I left after the rain came, but was hoping to get a few runs in to get used to the car. For the first time out I'm okay with it, but I can't wait to do it again with some drag radials. I saw your car and bobs capri, but didn't see anybody. Saw Dennis as I was leaving too! How did you do?

I saw the black GTO in the staging lanes and didn't put 2 and 2 together to realize it was yours. Strong runs! I wouldn't put alot of concern on the 60' yesterday it was pretty slimy as you would expect opening day.

I f-ed it up for everyone again this opening weekend! LOL. They announced yesterday that it got rained out the first three weeks of last year and that was the three weeks I tried to go. Once the car was getting modded and out of commission the weather was fine! I should hold prp hostage and tell them I will go there every week and bring rain unless they pay me big$$

...um not sure!? Its really up to my uncle. At first he just wanted me to get a feel for it at last years BeaveRun Flashlight Drags I raced. Then he wanted to see how it ran and what #er's it did in the quarter. Pretty much so I could dial it in a bit to race it at the PRP Curt George memorial race this year. But it seems like I maybe racing it a bit more than I think in the future!!:woot1:
