I have a F2VF-12B579-A1A MAF 24lb injectors, t4m0 ECC.

Car will not idle today.. falls flat on it face does this in spells and runs rich one day lean the next..

I started the car today it reved to 1200 rpm and died.. Unplug the MAF will idle just fine. plug it back in dies..

The car is not giving me a MAF code. Maf dead?

One place I read MAF and Injectors have to match, ECC irrelevant. Next place read MAF has to match ECC injectors irrelevant..

wich one is correct?

It being the MAF would probably explain a lot of the strange behavior in the car.

To adress the question on the reason for 24's, the car was running 50lb at the rail when I got it if I back it down any I would get lean codes.. looked like 19's were not cutting it.. So I installed 24's I run the rail pressure at 32lb that caculated out to 22lb injector equivalent that kept me from getting lean codes and reduced the duty cycle drastically.

Have you thought about getting the car tuned? You could chase gremlins forever...

It wont idle at all soon as you let off the gas it falls on its face, unplug MAF it does not die.. I consider a tune sure but no need if there are mechanical issues.. IE MAF IF the Maf is fine and its just a Maf ECC mismatch then yes a tune is in order.. thats the reason for the above question Greggy Poo..

Sorry only D-Rod is allowed to call you that. LOL

Ok let me rephrase my other post. You have been pulling your hair out with this car for some time, maybe some professional help is needed.

LOL.. I see what you are saying.. Yeah I should but I am a little bit stubborn I guess. Its possible that this has been the problem all along and it being intermittent has had me running all over the engine bay..

a tune will help after you get all your stuff fix.

Plus I have learned a lot and I dont see a lot of value in letting someone do something for me that I should be able to do myself.. It takes me a lot longer but I like figuring out on my own.. Getting advice from people but doing the work myself.

Agree soon as the car is solid and I know there are no mechanical issues I am getting it done.

I hope you can get this all sorted out...

...but I'm laughing out loud about you calling speedracer "Greggy Poo"....

Now all I need is SN95 expert to answer my question and I will be straight.. Hard to spend 400 on a tune when I wanted to SC it in the spring.. I could not do the SC and adress paint and do a little more suspension work.. Hmm IDK I like more POWER!

These couple things make me think the computer has an issue. I have had similiar issues with other cars and the computer turned out to be the problem.

I would start the car and it would die in about 10 seconds. Restart the car, rev it around 2k rpm for 30 or so seconds and the car would idle, but fall flat on its face under load. I would unplug the maf and it would idle fine on cold start but had no power at any rpm.

Im not saying for sure thats what it is, but thats what it sounds like to me.
