Cool. I am trying to get my wife to bring her parents' '11 V6 Mustang out, if not she will probably have her Fusion Sport again, and I might bring the Cobalt out if it isn't back in the dealership again.

Anyone interested in instruction, there will be instructors at this event, and I will be one of them.

Mark, what are your thoughts on using A6s for the track day? Will it destroy them? I'm not looking to drop lap times with them, I just want to save my street tires. They're getting pretty worn.

They won't last too long, IMO. Nelson's isn't that hard on tires/brakes, but I don't think running the A6s would be too good of an idea, unless you don't care about using them up.

I'm glad to hear that Nelson isn't too hard on brakes, because Bryan is fairly convinced that I'm gonna die with the tiny little brakes on the car. I told him that I would probably slow down earlier if I had fade problems.

I don't really intend to drive very hard anyway.

There is only one heavy braking zone on the entire track. Over 120 down to 55ish in the Cobalt, about 105 down to ??? in the wife' Fusion (with her driving) to give you a idea. Bring extra brake pads if you still have the factory non-existent brakes on the Fairmont.

Wife may be bringing her parents base '11 V6 instead of her Fusion Sport. If this happens I may just have some '09 CobaltSS lap times compared to the new V6 Mustangs, should be interesting.

Of coarse this would happen now. My car is in a thousand pieces at the body shop and an open track day. That sucks!

Hope this was a good time.

Has anyone gone to one of their "fundays"? Looks like a good deal, 130 for a day. I am thinking about trying this track just for something different from Beaverun.

I have been to them, it is just an open lapping day that is set up much more laid back than Beaverun. Most are during the week. One of the reasons this event was such a great deal, was that it was on a weekend, for only 100. That is unheard of for a weekend track day. Another one coming up in October.

I plan to be there in October with my Z06 as I will have all of my needed parts and changes to the car done by then. I have the car on the lift now lowering it and installing my hitch. The extra wheels I have are out being powder coated, and as soon as they come back I will be mouting tires and be ready to finally lean how to drive the car which has proven difficult on factory tires from 2003.

Cool. Trying to get a TT group for October as well. Not sure if it is going to happen or not, but I am trying.
