Sunday May 29th is the UMTR opener at Qualer City. There are two classes for stick shift guys, Quick Stick and Street Stick although there isnt much difference than the ET break (and entry fee).
I am planning to go unless something goes wrong with the car Saturday at PRP ... Post up if you are intested in going, maybe we can meet up along the way to head out or whatever. At a minimum, we are taking the grill, food, coolers, etc and we can save space to pit together.
Here is the UMTR flyer ...

And a link to QCMP flyer ... Note There are also southern slingshot dragsters, nostalgia funny cars, stock / super stock cars, and a car cruise or whatever going on with this ... Also note UMTR time trials start at 10:00 AM so it's going to be an early start ...

Please note - I was having some clutch issues this weekend so I need to work through them this week to make this, but didnt want to wait until the last minute to get some idea if anyone was going.

The UMTR is a really cool show, enjoyed them greatly at the PRP nostalgia day last September. Should be a good day there too.

Got my junk loaded up this morning for PRP today, then QCR tomorrow (we have to leave early) ... I always find it funny when my junk is on a trailer.

If anyone was going to QCR to watch with me, I'm out. I broke a lower control ARM and both shocks at PRP. Details later but I'm out

Trailer QUEEN !!
LOL ... The ONE time I trailer to my home track, I need it ... Made it to the semi finals tonight ... Dumped the clutch and the car did a weird squirm off the hit (eh, my stuff does weird stuff at times) pulled second and the car almost wanted to swap ends ... Took the front bushing of the drivers side rear lower control arm completely out, that let the housing move enough to jack up both of my shocks that are now dripping oil ... The good news it was in the semi's and the car is still shiney, but I'm not going to be able to stick shift race tomorrow http://vb.foureyedpride.com/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif No shame for those arms, they are CHE lowers, over 100 passes a year at 1.60 type 60's for 5 or more years. They died in battle anyway, time for an upgrade http://vb.foureyedpride.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

Thanks joe, I shoulf be okay ...
I jusr got an e-mail ,and confirmed on the UMTR site ... This race ended up NOT going off ... There was a huge turnout both of cars and spectators, and water seeping up through the track :( Although I broke my junk, it was better than making the tow out there only to not race ...

Not actually a reschedule Ed, this was the planned second race that has been in their schedule. The original race with all the nostalgia stuff is still to be set. If I survive Milan this weekend, I'm running this.
Ohhh! Well I plan on going. Picking up new set of 26x10 slicks wednesday up in Sarver. Had my fill of the 27" QTP's.

LOL, I just got new 26-11.50 QTP's :D Your car will be happy again on the 26''s ;) The math on the 27's says they shouldnt be so bad but man do they suck gear out up top.
As I said, if I make it out of Milan in one piece, we are going stick shift racing :3gears:

OMG yes it will be happy. I use to cross traps around 6200 rpm on a 26 but with 27 around 5850-5900rpm
