One of my favorite weekends of the year, always have a blast at this race, and not just because I whacked Balaska on the Friday night last year in the no box final. :D Heck, it's worth it to see the costume contests, people get pretty creative. A few year ago, Bob Jones, who sponsors Balaska and me, painted a box to make it look like it had drawers, pull knobs, and had a lamp shade over his head.... he was a "1 night stand." Cracked me up!

Here's the link in case the pic is too small:

LOL Tim... I got that thing as dirty as I could after I left Sunday.

Actually, the GGG tshirts are usually really cool. I hope the Reaper on nitrous is part of this year's shirts.

Sponsors are putting up $1,000 to the first Nitrous Outlaw car to go into the 3s on Saturday. That will be a great show. Should be close to 20 cars trying to qualify.

Glen, your daughter still running TCR? I was talking to some of the junior kids, they're hoping to run it too. I'm lending Andrew Valentino my hot rod Cavalier wagon, so there will be at least him and Josh Barnett. I know there are some racers from Beaver Springs coming too, so maybe that will boost the car count if the kids run the tow vehicles.

Inkd, that's way cool of you, but the TCR class is only running Saturday. Look for my heap in the lanes ('69 Cutlass) or Balaska's and say hello.

Hoping to get tonight in, but I am 100% positive we're getting both Saturday and Sunday in. The N20 Outlaw show, the trick or treating, the costume contests, all the cars towing in from all over, it's going to be an absolute blast! Come on out!

I hope your right Chuck but ... I was there tonight before the downpour and as soon as they stopped blowing on that spot in the left lane at 1200' the water started coming back up. It was enough it was running off the side, not just a puddle. Going to be a long day tomorrow I bet.

Hope for some good sun in the morning to help out.

Greg is hoping to have time trials started by 10am. It may be optimistic, but I know the track personnel are starting prep very early to get the surface dry and ready, and thanks to them in advance for all their hard work. Lots of rigs on the lot already, and I saw more pulling in when I left at 8:30. Even if the day does start later, it's going to be a ton of fun, plenty of action in all classes, lots of cool cars, and hopefully some N20 cars hitting the 3.90s.

I'll be out racin Sunday, for sure.

Hope you see this before you head out.... If you go Sunday, it will be $100.00 to race. Today (Saturday) got washed out, so the whole weekend purse is in for tomorrow (plus they are throwing in more to make it an even $5,000.00) but it cost you both days entry to run Sunday.

Man was this a long day in the end. They sure put the effort into getting the race in.

Yesterday I thought when you said 8 you meant PM not AM hahah so I kinda missed that boat but sounds like it was fun! I saw that 460 SN95 on Pinks All out a couple weeks ago and I would have loved to have seen it!

Thanks Brent. I knew I was on borrowed time with the rear end with the 455 this season.

The weather just does not want to cooperate now... looking bad for this Saturday too currently. The weekend would have been even greater if Mother Nature would have let us start on time Saturday morning. No doubt the track personnel worked extremely hard to give us a safe surface to run on. I thought for sure Vergotz was going to get a 3.9x pass. His run in the semis with Roemer, the pedalfest, was awesome. Both pedaling it, Roemer has a backfire through the carb, big flame out of the hood scoop. I'd love to see video of that pass. Here's the graph of the pedalfest run:

Chuck how the hell did you break that rear end? Is that a factory 8.2 or a 8.5 10 bolt or even a 12bolt rear? You leave so soft while I'm trying to kill mine every pass.

Only if weather changes for saterday. Otherwise I'm not bothering.

I can't imagine the balls it took to step on that thing the last time. That guy can drive that thing.

I'm trying to kill mine every pass.

Every now and then I pull that off ;)

CST, weather is looking pretty grim for the weekend. I hope it clears up for next weekend, so folks can run some personal bests.

3900 pounds, lots of big block Olds torque, and 10 years on the 8.5" 10 bolt ring, with hundreds and hundreds of passes, and thousands and thousands of street miles. We doing body work this winter?

Might need a snow shovel this week-end.

Sorry to hear about the rear end. 10 years of drag racing on an 8.5 inch rear is pretty good though. At least it crapped out in October instead of May.

Glen, I thought the same thing... if it's going to break, it did it at the right time. Now I just need to figure out what I'm doing for next season, kicking around a 9", getting this one rebuilt with Moser axles, etc.
