The season opener for the UMTR (stick shift) is at Quaker City this weekend.

I plan to go down Saturday to run with them again. We raced with them last year at Steel Valley and they are a great bunch of guys. Won't be anything special to see with my junk but the Quick Stick guys put on one hell of a show.

What is difference between Quick Stick and Street Stick besides ET allowed?

ET break as you noted, entrance fee, and purse (payback). A lot of guys do double enter both classes. Their purse is based on entries so that can be hit or miss too.

Looks like I'm going with Mark from here also. We've been meaning to check out the track and this is a good reason.
Later guys and thanks for the PM Bob, I'll talk to you this weekend.

Loaded up and ready to go. This is a bit odd, typically when it's on a trailer, it's broke :D

Did you copyright your name

LOL, yeah some "Troll" was trying to steal my name ;) It looks like we will have a TR7 and BMW with 2.3's for sure, and maybe a TR8. see you guys there.

Good to see you guys out there today. Ended up loosing second round, went .004 red but the car ran right on the dial. Pretty good day for me with getting the car consistant enough to race.

That sucks, you were running well.
Nice hanging out at the track, I like that track for sure and I want to try that funky uphill burnout box :)

Bob,

it was good seeing you, the wife & the 2.3T gang at QCR. Here's a shot of your car leaving in qualifying.

Jim's autocross style manuver around the spun '69 camaro was pretty wild in the 2.3T TR7 Trimuph! :jump:

We met another SCS member, Rob, aka dappie99, in his yellow '91 GT. The car ran impressively, we saw he run a track limited 11@127mph. It's a T72 turbo 331 car. His dad was racing too in a 10.05 sec Fairmont with a 422W/C4 car. He has a repair garage in Beaver.

I really enjoyed that track too. The burn out box was a trip, and the track is slow, but it's a really nice facility. We were treated exceptional by both the UMTR and QCR people. You sure arent going to get a new best ET there but I would go back in a heartbeat. Wish I was closer myself.

It was real lucky Jim is a pilot and an autocrosser. Based on what I heard, I would of drove right into that mess. It was kind of nice to have a few 2.3 cars in one place :D He is better today, and laughing about it.

Thanks for the pic Mark, I see a little daylight there. Last pass of the day, the car went a 1.61 60' for another new best.

Nice Bob, you sure were going for it second round. QCR is a nice track, I've had some fun times there, including my first 2 round wins in a bracket finals. It's a bummer not being able to see the runs and times when you're down in the staging lanes though.

If I lived in the middle, I would run QCR full time. PRP is 20 minutes, QCR two hours plus the PA entrance tax on the pike to get back home.
