Good running car.

What all have you done so far to eliminate weight? List what all you have removed or lightened and maybe we can help with some other ideas.

I removed the AC, and AIR injection, the carpet, the passengers seat, the rear seat, the rear carpet, and I take the spare out at the track. I also run 1/8th of tank of fuel. The interior was taken to do work initially (DS loop, subframes, ect.) and I just left it out. I had 3 pretty big ET gains this year. 1. 3.73 gears with sticky tires 4-5 tenths. 2. removing the stuff under the hood, underdrive pullies, and a short belt between 3 and 4 tenths. 3. Rear control arms, subframe connectors, and torque boxes welded 3 to 4 tenths. The last one I am sure is mostly the control arms. I couldn't even do a decent burnout with the car wheel hopping like crazy. I gotta give a shout out to Mike at Wolfpack for welding it up for me. He did a great job. The other stuff I did produced little gains here and there. A good thing to read is the sticky 5.0 recipe under pushrod power.

I think my next mod would be a tubular k-member and a-arms along with a manual rack and moving the battery to the trunk.

Definitly not setting any records at the track today. There was a nasty head wind coming straight up the track all day. Best pass all day was a 13.1 with better 60 foot times than last week.
