Guess how heavy my car is

Got my car weighed yesterday. Local scale that weighs 18 wheelers before they hit the road. Seems accurate. I got on it..said 200, my buddy got on it..said 280 and he weighs 275 but scale goes in multibles of 20. Full weight GT, spare tire, jack, bottle of tire dressing in the truck, etc 3380 pounds. Thats just the car, no driver.

The S197's are pigs to start with, the 03-04's had IRS (150 extra#) the blower and the 4v heads and the 6 speed.

I think the mark viiis arms and everything are aluminum. Not sure if they're swapable.

My old GT weighed 3380 w/o driver and 1/2 tank of gas (stock)

My old 04 cobra coupe weighed 3680 w/o driver and 1/2 tank of gas (stock)

Realize fuel is about 6lbs/gal...so your car's weight will vary accordingly.

Yep, my '04 was 3660# with 18" replicas and about 1/2 tank.
My '01 Cobra same wheels and fuel was 3460---that iron block, supercharger components and T-56 aren't light upgrades.
I was surprised to weigh my '91 a few weeks ago---exactly 2900# with 5 gallons. I have about 100# interior to put back but I'm happy its <3000.

J, is that with the roll cage and turbo kit in there too? If so, that's pretty damn light!


My car weighs 3620lbs with me in it in street form, and 3440 with me in "track" form.

Yep, 2900 at Milan NMRA a few weeks ago.
It went to TeamZ 3050 with the NA 427 and no cage so I was very surprised.
I need to add the passenger seat, rear interior panels, and carpet so I hope it stays at 3000 or under w/o me.
