    Ball joints....

Let me say trying to remove the lower ball joints from my '12 Ram 2500 fn sucks. Mangled my ball joint press and had to go buy another.

Upper was fairly easy. Tighten press, whack it with 4lb hammer, rinse repeat until able to turnout. Bottom not so much. Got it to move 1/16" and now it won't budge.

Engineers at car manufactures should have to work on the junk they design! We might see a whole different story then!

Sometimes it is easier to replace the whole arm with the joint as an assembly. Costs more but way less mess and you get new everything.

I wish I could have just replaced an arm but this is a straight axle truck.

Found that the driver lower was galled up on outside edge for about 1/2". Had to be like that from factory as there was rust built up below the galling. Spot on flange was tore up as well in same spot. Took a few good hits from my 4lb hammer to get it to move again. Once moving I was able to press it out. Passenger side went smoothly.

Sorry crappy pic but can see mid way on body where it was damaged and causing issues getting out.
